One of the oldest and spookiest buildings in my area is the Holly Hotel, built in 1891 it has a very curious history. Purported to be haunted, the hotel first burnt down on January 19, 1913. It was rebuilt but burned again January 19, 1978 at the same exact time down to the hour as the first fire. The building caught fire again in June of 2022 and has yet to be rebuilt due to an ongoing lawsuit. The hotel is said to be haunted my multiple adults, children and even a dog. But perhaps all those weird sounds and phantom smells are actually linked to a certain cryptid hiding deep in the seldom used rooms under the hotel.

Sounds a lot like the South Lyon Hotel. It was built in 1867 as a hotel, but it's been used as a bar/restaurant for many years. It burned in 1977 and again in 2016. The 2016 fire was a complete loss. They rebuilt the Hotel in 2017, using the same exterior footprint but modernizing the look of the outside and the functionality of the inside. I sat in with some singer/songwriters before it burned in 2016, and one of my bands played there several times after it reopened. No idea if they've had any ghostly incidents since the reopening.
When they rebuilt it, did they rebuild it the same way layout wise?
